DEMOCRATIC LABOUR
ADDRESS AT WHITIANGA MR BALFOUR DAWSON SPEAKS Speaking in the Public Hall, Whitianga, on Tuesday, September 7, Mr Balfour Dawson, candidate for the Thames electorate outlined the immediate policy of The Democratic Soldier Labour Party.
“One point in our platform,” said Mr Balfour Dawson, “is to take control of currency. We have no quarrel with personalities in banking, it is the system which is wrong and that which we are going to endeavour to right,” continued Mr Dawson.
“Banks will not operate for profit, but for credit, made available for all people. “Brains don’t always go with money. What is financially possible is physically possible.” If it is possible to construct money to destroy, it is possible to utilise money for construction and build on lines of peace.”
Mr Dawson covered 23 points of Democratic Soldier Labour Party’s imnTediate policy, and at the conclusion of his address, the chairman, Mr A. Watkins, opened the meeting for questions.
A hearty vote of thanks was extended to Mr Balfour Dawson by Mr Watkins and the public responded by acclamation.
