WHITIANGA talkies SATURDAY, JULY 3: “Down a rgentine WAY” “DOWN ARGENTINE WAY” “ down a rgentine WAY” In Technicolour Starring: (JARMEN M IRANDA gETTY QRABLE And D ON a meche Public Notice COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STRIKE RATES Public Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Coromandel County Council at a meeting to be held on Wednesday, July 14, 1943, in the County Office, Kapanga Road, Coromandel, in pursuance and exercise of its powers under the provisions of the “Counties Act 1920” the Rating Act, 1925, the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” and of all other acts or amendipents it thereto enabling, to make and levy the following rates:— 1. An Amalgamated rate of 3fd in the £ upon the Capital Value of all Rateable property as appearing on the Valuation Rolls for the time being in force for the Coromandel County, such rate to be in lieu of the following rates:— a. A General Rate of 2|d_in £. b. A Hospital and Charitable Institution Rate of f d in £. in £. c. A Special Rate (Conversion Loan of £6500) of |d in £. 2. A Special Annual Recurring Rate for the Coromandel Water Supply District of |d in £ made under the provisions of the Loans to Local Bodies Act 1886, by the Coromandel County Council on the 6th. January, 1901. The aforesaid rates to be due and payable in one sum on the 30th. day of July, 1943, to the Council’s Collector at the Council Office, Kapanga Road, Coromandel. Each of the aforesaid rates to be for the year commenced April 1, 1943, and ending on March 31st., 1944. The Valuation Rolls and Rate Book will be open for inspection by Ratepayers at the County Office, Coromandel, during Office hours. In accordance with the provisions of Section 64 of the Rating Act, 1925, a rebate of £4 per centum will be allowed to every Ratepayer on the amount of Amalgamated Rates payable by him struck for the year 19431944 if such rates are paid within 30 days from the due date thereof.
