WEANERS NOT HARD TO QUIT VALUES AT MORRINSVILLE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company report that at the Morrinsville sale on Friday a small entry of fat sheep and lambs sold under good competition at prices equal to last week’s rates. A medium entry of cow beef met an improved demand and finished cattle sold freely. Values for a heavy yarding of boner cows remained un-changed-but store cattle were hard to quit. There was a full yarding of all classes of pigs with competition for baconers and porkers keen, values remaining firm at last week’s quotations. Choppers also were in demand, but store and weaner pigs were hard to quit, prices easing all round. Quotations: —

Sheep.—Prime fat wethers, 30s to 31s 3d; extra prime heavy fat lambs, 26s 2d to 30s 6d; fat lambs, 21s to 23s 8d; forward lambs, 17s 7d to 18s 3d; store lambs, 10s 9d to 14s; small lambs, Ils.
