DALGETY’S KOPU SALE
FAT SHEEP AGAIN SELL WELL
At the stock sale held at Kopu by .Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., on Tuesday, April 13, a medium yarding of cattle, sheep and pigs met a good demand and a total clearance was effected at late rates.
Fat sheep again sold well, a pen of nicely finished maiden ewes realising 235.
Quality beef was not over abundant, but well-finished cows sold to £6 ss; boners were well up to late rates.
Store and weaner pigs declined in sympathy with other entries. Quotations: —
'Cattle.—Medium weight cows, to £6 ss; lighter weight cows, to £s' 12s 6d; light weight cows, to £5 2s 6d; heavy boners, t0..£4 10s; light boners, £2 15s to £3 15s; others, £1 17s 6d to £2 10s.
Pigs.—Choppers, to £4 18s; baconers, to £4 10s; light baconers, to £3 17s 6d; heavy porkers, to £3 Is; others, £2 7s 6d to £2 18s; stores, 17s 6d to 255; weaners, 5s to 11s 6d.
Sheep.—Fat maiden ewes, to 235. > «-
