FIGHT ON THE MAIN ROAD
INCIDENTS NEAR KEREPEEHI Charged with behaving in a disorderly manner, a Maori, Ben Paul, was fined £2 in the Thames Court on Tuesday by Mr W .H. Freeman, S.M.
Constable W. Beasley, of Kerepeehi, stated that the offence took place on the main road at Kerepeehi.
“I received a phone call from a resident td say that somebody was making a row on the roadside outside his home,” said Constable Beasley. “When I arrived, I found Paul wanting to fight with his brother. A third Maori stood nearby but took no part in the affair. Paul had been drinking but was not drunk. His orother was sober.” Paul was fined £2 and ordered to pay costs.
