RESERVIST SENT TO GAOL
FORMER KEREPEEHI RESIDENT
In the Huntly Police Court on Thursday, ,before Messrs G. Smith and J. Porteous, J.’sP., James Alfred John Millan was charged. that on December 18, 1941, at Kerepeehi, being a reservist of the First Division of the General Reserve, he failed to report for military service at the time and place stated.
Defendant, who pleaded guilty, was convicted and sentenced to three months’ imprisonment with hard labour.
He was further charged that on or about November 19, 1942, at Huntly, he assumed the name of James Alfred Bryant, such name being other than the name by which he was known at the date of coming into force of &ie change of name regulations, 1939.
He pleaded guilty, and was convicted and sentenced to three months’ imprisonment with hard labour, the sentences to be concurrent.
