DAIRY HEIFERS AT WAIHOU BONER COWS ALSO SELL WELL The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their Waihou stock sale on Thursday, when a full yarding of all classes of cattle was penned. Cow a'nd heifer beef was in demand, whilst boner cows also sold well. Yearling Jersey and Jersey Cross heifers were also in demand. A good yarding of fat sheep sold under strong competition at prices equal to late sales. An average entry of dairy heifers was submitted, with the demand for quality animals very keen. . Lowconditioned and backward sorts were hard to quit, A medium yarding of all classes of pigs came forward. The demand was steady with prices realised fully ’up to late rates. Cattle.—Heavy fat Friesian cows £9; medium fat cows, £6 5s to £7 Is; light fat cows, £5 10s to £6; heavy

boners, £4 10s to £5 ss; medium, £3 5s to £3 19s; light, £2 to £3; potter bulls, £3 to £5 7s 6d; good quality yearling heifers, £5 10s to £6 7s; others, £3 11s to £4 Ji’s 6d. Sheep.—(Medium fat wethers, 34s to 375; prime fat ewes, 30s 6d; extra prime heavy woolly hoggets, 29s 6d to 33s 6d; good fat woolly hoggets, 26s to 27s 6d; lighter, 23‘s 3d to 24 s 6d; aged fat ewes, 225; cull ewes l , 6s to 9s; ewes with lambs at foot, 33 s 6d.

Dairy cattle.—Extra choice dairy heifers, £l7; choice Jersey and Jersey cross heifers, close to profit, £l4 10's to £l6 10s; Jersey and Jersey Cross heifers, close to profit, £lo' to £l2 10s; others, £7 10s to £9 10s; later calvers, £5 to £6; heifers in milk, £8 to £lO 10s.

■Pigs.—'Medium baconers, £3 18s to £4 4s; light, £3 12s to £3 16s; heavy porkers, £3 6s to £3 10s; medium, £3 to £3 4s; light, £2 14s to £2 18s; large stores, £2 5s to £2 12s; smaller, 36s to £2 2s; slips, 28s to 38s 6d; weaners, 18s to 22s 6d; sows to farrow, £2 5s to £4; sows with litters, £3 7s 6d to £6 15s.
