COROMANDEL COMMITTEE MONTHLY MEETING HELD The chairman, Mr E. W. Gilliver, presided over a full attendance of the Coromandel School Committee, the headmaster, Mr C. H. McKenzie, also attending. It was reported that letters had passed between the committee, the Minister and the board relative to the projected new school but up to the date of the meeting all was in the preliminary stages, and the members were of the opinion that pressure should be still maintained. The board had agreed to the erection of a fence for'the horse paddock, and allocated a sum for the purpose. In view of this the work was to be done immediately.
The wash basins were in need of paint, and the work was authorised. Voting papers in connection with the election of a member for the Education Board were distributed and the votes recorded.
A number of accounts presented by the secretary were passed for payment.
