“BUY A BOBBY-DODGER”
CYCLISTS WITHOUT LIGHTS
“Take my advice and buy a bobbydodger. You could get one for less than the cost of this appearance in Court,” was the advice given by His Worship, 'Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M.. when two girls and two men were charged at Thursday’s sitting of the Te Aroha Court with riding cycles after dark without lights. “If a motor car hits you, you will blame it,” he added, “and it’s better not to be hit.” All four defendants were convicted and ordered to pay costs as fallows: William V. Best 12s, Thomas 'William Cook 12s, Evelyn 'Elizabeth McQuarters 10s, and Margaret Signal 12s.
