KEEN DEMAND AT PAEROA
VALUES AT MONDAY’S SALE
There was an average yarding of dairies, beef and store cattle at the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd’s, cattle sale held in .Paeroa on Monday. Competition was keen in' the dairy line for quality close-up heifers.
Cows and heifers for killing were firmer while potter bulls realised around 27s a hundred. Boner cattle were on a par with their last cattle sale.
Yearling heifers, regardless of condition and colour were in keen demand. **
A pen of mixed sexed hoggets of fair condition realised as much at £1 9s 9d. Quotations: — Dairy heifers, up to £l2 ss; fat cows, up to £9 2s 6d; fat heifers, up
to £8 7s 6d; stores, up to £5 2 s 6d; •boners, up to £3 10 s; bulls up to £8; yearling heifers, up to £5 6s. Maiden ewes, up to ‘£l 14s 6d; wether hoggets, t.t., £1 9s 9d; ewes, t.t., £1 7s; wethers, £1 13s 9d.
