ROAD TRANSPORT CURTAILED AUCKLAND-TE AROHA 'SERVICE An intimation that the operators of the Auckland - Morfinsville-Matamata-Te Aroha road passenger transport service intended appealing against the curtailed services as recently fixed by the No. 1 Licensing Authority was given at Monday’s meeting of the Piako County Council by the chairman, Cr. ‘D. Johnson, who added that he had attended the public meeting at Hamilton and had placed the council’s views before the authority. The council had been concerned on behalf of those ratepayers who had no alternative means of transport. The curtailed service as fixed by the authority provided for the elimination of iSunday bus travel, while daily services were curtailed by one trip each way.
