TOO MUCH HAIR

TRESSES OF ALL SHADES RESULT OF -PUBLIC APPEAL Hair, hair, hair —all feminine, literally is getting in the hair of Cur-tiss-Wright Corporation officials. Feminine tresses of all shades and lengths arriving daily at the firm’s St. Louis plant—all because of an appeal several weeks ago for women’s hair for bombsights.

In due time after the appeal Cur-tiss-Wright received a package of soft auburn locks and it was- duly announced in America’s papers. Then came the deluge. CurtissWright received hair from all over the country in patriotic proportions. The plant’s mailing room took on the appearance of an unswept barber shop. A -particularly attractive -package’ of auburn hair arrived from a ranch, deep in Texas.

The hair wilj be sent on to a bomb sight manufacturing company. And Curtiss-Wright pleads fervently that in the future feminine tresses, howewer beautiful, be sent there directly. The St. Louis plant makes only airplanes.
