PATRIOTIC WORK IN PAEROA APPRECIATION TO MR R. NICOL Appreciation of the excellent work done by Mr R. S. Nicol as secretary of the Paeroa District Patriotic Committee was expressed at Monday night’s meeting of the committee. The Mayor, Mr Edwin Edwards, referred to the pending departure of Mr Nicol to camp, stating that he had given outstanding service to the committee and his untiring efforts had resulted in the very successful campaign launched in the Paeroa district for the collection of funds. Leave of absence was granted Mr Nicol and Mr R: L. Darley was appointed acting secretary.
