OPOSSUMS AGAIN
POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTED TROUBLE IN WAIHI GORGE Opossums playing on the power poles in the Waihi gorge again caused an interruption in the power supply during July reported the chief engineer, Mr N. G. McLeod, to the monthly meeting of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board. The engineer’s report on the matter read as under: — “On Tuesday, July 7, at 7.15 p.m. and. at 10.30 p.m., Waikino main supply was interrupted. The trouble on each occasion was found to be due to an opossum.”
