POWER BOARD CONTROL POSITION SATISFACTORY DECREASE IN NETT REVENUE Although the sales of electricity by the Thames Valley Electric Power Board for the three months ended June 30, 1942, showed a gross increase of £1931 2s the nett revenue showed a decrease of £272 5s 6d for the period. The manager, Mr R. Sprague, reported -to Tuesday’s meeting of the Board on the sales' of electricity for the period, as under: — “The sales of electricity for the period amounted to £55,206' 9s 6d against £51,275 7s 6d for the same -period in 1941, a gross increase of £193'1 2s, whereas the nett revenue was £42,215 10s 3d against £42,487 15s 9d which shows a nett decrease of £272 5s 6d for this- period.

“This, state of affairs is to fee expected during the present times owing to the power restrictions and the shortage of electrical appliances. However, the board’s position so far is quite satisfactory, but will have to ibe carefully controlled in anticipation of anything unforseen, such as storms, floods, etc.
