DAIRY CATTLE IN DEMAND SALE HELD AT WAIHOU The 'Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co; Ltd., report that at their Waihou sale on Thursday a medium entry of fat cows and ,boners and a good entry of dairy cattle were penned. Competition for good quality dairy cows and heifers was been with prices showing a hardening tendency. A light entry of sheep and pigs sold well. Quotations: — Cattle.—Good fat cows, to £7 10s; good fat Jersey heifers, £6 to £7 7s; lighter, £4 10s to £5 15s; fat Jersey cows, £5 to £6; heavy boner cows, £4 4s to £4 18s; lighter, £2 to £4; empty 2-year Jersey heifers, £8 to £3 ss, yearling crossbred heifers, £3 10s; small Jersey heifers, £2 5s to £2 10s; potter bulls, £3 to £3 10s.
