During the month ’B2 knitted articles were sent to Zone Headquarters ;by the Paeroa District Patriotic Committee, reported the secretary, Mr R. S. 'Nicol to the monthly meeting of the committee. Details were as under: — Scarves — - —- —. 34 Balaclavas —- —- —.—. 28 'Pairs Mittens — —- —- —- 20' Total —.—. .... 82 LADIES’BRIDGE CLUB Mrs F. Hubbard and Mrs P. R. Hubbard entertained the Paeroa Ladies’ Bridge 'Club which met at the home of Mrs H. ‘Poland on Tuesday evening last.. The first prize was won by Mrs J. Staunton and the second ‘by Mrs M. Parry. CHEERIO BRIDGE CLUB The Cheerio Bridge Club met on Tuesday evening at the home of Miss R. Dickson when Mrs C. Handley won the first prize and. Miss M. Taylor the hidden number.
