MERCURY BAY AFTERNOON
GOOD WORK FOR SOLDIERS
The members of the Mercury Bay Soldiers’ Busy Bee spent a pleasant afternoon at their annual meeting recently. The resignation of Mrs Norton as president was received with regret. t Mrs Russell was appointed president.
A total of 89 knitted articles has been given or sent to soldiers during the past year. This showed an increase of 35 more than the previous 12 months.
Two boxes of clothing totalling 150 articles have been forwarded to the Auckland Red Cross Society. Afternoon tea was served by the members.
