£13/5/- FOR HEIFER

VALUES AT MORRINSVILLE SALE

BREEDING SOW'S IN DEMAND

The Farmers’ 'Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited report that at their weekly Morrinsville stock sale on Friday a small yarding of fat sheep changed hands at late values. Fat lambs were penned in average numbers, and sold freely at schedule rates. A small entry of breeding ewes realised improved prices.

A smaller entry of beef met keen competition and sold freely, whilst a full offering of boners maintained full rates.

A full yarding, including the advertised herd. *This came forward in fairly backward condition. The offering also included) a fair number of in-calf heifers. Generally competition was steady for early calving cows' and heifers, but backward sorts were not so keenly sought, especially so, small heifers. One extra choice heifer made £l3 5 s. Strong competition prevailed for typey heifers, close to profit.

A light yarding of all classes of pigs, the entry comprising mostly porkers and stores. Competition throughout was keen and values in • advance of those ruling last week. Breeding sows were also in demand. Quotations
