WELCOME HOME
MEN FROM THE PRESENT WAR FUNCTION THIS EVENING A dance and card .party will be held in the Regent and Civic Hall to-night to welcome soldiers who have returned from the present war. The function has been organised by the Paeroa Welcome Home Committee and promises to be one of the best evenings ever held in Paeroa.
Excellent music will be provided for dancing while throughout the programme items will be interspersed. Good prizes will be provided: for. the cards.
The supper arrangements are in the hands of the Ladies’ Patriotic Committee and patrons can be assured. that this feature of the evening will he excellent/
Admission will be Is '6d per head and it is expected that every person possible will attend to fittingly express the appreciation of the citizens of Paeroa for the sacrifice the guests of honour have made. '
During the evening the men at present home on leave will be fare welled and presented with the usual money belt and - mayoral letter.
