Liquor Near Dance A first-offender was charged in the Thames Court on Tuesday with (being in possession of liquor near the Turua dance hall on April 6. He was fined £2, with Court costs.

Kelp Found At Tararu A seaweed seldom seen on the east coast but frequently on the western side, has been found by Mr E. Walters on the Tararu beach. The seaweed is known as kelp, and local fishermen say it has not been seen in this locality before. It looks like a. long whip and is quite flexible when green. Thames nurses will have to wait a while longer before they can buy stockings from the hospital institution. Advice was received from Wellington at the monthly meeting of the Thames Hospital Board that samples of stockings could not be supplied, as requested by the board. The Factory Controller was endeavouring to arrange manufacture of stockings, but none had come to light yet.
