Public Notices A nzac D ay UNITED COMMEMORATION SERVICE APRIL 25, 1942. 1.30 p.m.—Parade to be assembled at Post Office under Command of Major Bartlett. Returned Soldiers, Cadets, Girl Guides, Fire Brigade, Women’s War Service Auxiliary, Home Guard, Boy Scouts, St. John Ambulance, Scholars of Paeroa 1 District High School, Scholars of St. Joseph’s Convent School, and Brownies will be assembled at the Cenotaph. 1.45 p.m.—The Parade, led by the Paeroa Municipal Band will leave the Post Office and proceed via Normanby Road, through the Arney Street entrance to the Cenotaph. Saluting Base: His Worship the Mayor will take the Salute as the Parade passes the Borough Council Chambers. 2 p.m.—Public Commemoration at the Cenotaph: “The National Anthem,” led by the Paeroa Municipal Band. Flofal tributes placed, in which all are invited to participate. Floral tributes placed on the Bradford Memorial by Veterans of South African War. Hymn: “0 God Our Help in Ages Past.” Prayer: Major T. R. Moore. Scripture Lesson: Rev. J. R. Nelson. Short address: His Worship the Mayor, E. Edwards, Esq. Hymn: “0 Valiant Hearts.” “Last Post.” “One Minute’s Silence.” ' “Reveille.” NOTE. —After the Service the Municipal band, circumstances permitting, will play selections in the Domain Band Rotunda.. Motor cars must not park in the Domain nor will they be allowed inside the gates after 1.45 p.m. Limited seating accommodation will be provided for elderly people.
