VISIT BY LEADER
NATIONAL PARTY LUNCHEON ADDRESS REGARDING ORGANISATION MR THORN SPEAKS ON IMPORT RESTRICTION Political activity was prominent in Paeroa yesterday. The Leader of the Opposition, Mr Adam Hamilton, was the guest at a luncheon provided by delegates and workers of the various branches of the National Party in the Thames electorate, held at the Criterion Hotel, and Mr Jas. Thorn, M.P. for Thames, delivered a public address in the evening on the subject of the import restriction legislation. Mr Hamilton addressed the National Party members on the organisation of the party and various matters relating to the electorate, over 80 delegates being present. He was accorded an enthusiastic reception by his adherents.
