REGENT THEATRE

DOUBLE BILL TO-NIGHT

UPPER AMAZON RIVER DRAMA

“SINGING COWBOY” SHOWING

Adventure and excitement in the trackless jungles of the upper Amazon River highlight Jack Holt’s latest Columbia drama, “Flight Into Nowhere,” which comes to the Regent Theatre To-night and Friday. The story of a headstrong, irresponsible air pilot who crashes in unexplored South America through his own carelessness, “Flight Into Nowhere” narrates the difficulties endured by a rescuing expedition, the horrors of being help captive by head-hunters, and the love duel between two girls, one a beautiful white woman and the proud daughter of a forgotten Inca tribe. Jack Holt is starred in this tale of two-fisted adventure as .the superintendent of a trans-continental airline. Beautiful Jacqueline Wells is his leading lady and Dick Purcell has the leading juvenile role, that of the ace whose stubborn carelessness sends Holt into the South American voids.

“The Devil’s Saddle Legion”—with the popular Singing Cowboy, Dick Foran, as chief legionnaire—will be presented by Warner Bros, also at the Regent Theatre. The Legion consists of a group of young men living in the old Indian Territory in its lawless days, who have been persecuted and wronged by an outlaw band, and who vow to avenge the many crimes of their enemies and to establish law and order in their home region. They succeed, after much hard riding, many hand-to-hand encounters, and considerable pistol-play.
