CONVENT OLD GIRLS’ SUCCESS WINNERS OF CHAMPIONSHIP. The Paeroa Basketball Association’s competition was concluded on Saturday when the Convent Old Girls club won the championship for the sixth year in succession, defeating its old rivals, High School Old Girls, by 12 goals to eight. This game had been postponed from earlier in the season. Following are the details of Saturday’s play : Convent Old Girls 21, beat Hikutaia B 3. High School Old Girls 22, beat Hikutaia A 17. Convent Old Girls 12, beat High School Girls 8.
