Mr L. May of Taumarunui and formerly of Paeroa, visited the town last week.
Evangelist L. R. Harvey of Paeroa has received notice of his transfer to Australia.
Mr R. J. Harris, barrister and solicitor of Auckland, has arrived in Paeroa to take up a- position on the legal staff of Mr C. N. O’Neill.
Mr W. Aston of Huntly has been appointed telegraph supervisor’ at the Paeroa Post Office.
Mr O. M. Samuel, formerly manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Paeroa, left Auckland by- the Niagara yesterday for Suva to take over the managership of the bank’s Fiji branch.
The chairman, Mr J. Price; manager, Mr R. Sprague, and chief engineer, Mr N. G.. McLeod, were yesterday appointed to represent the Thames Valley Electric Power Board at the power boards conference at Wellington next month.
