SOCIAL NOTES
The Cheerio Bridge Club met last evening’ at the home of Miss Rewa Dickson, when Miss L. Vincent won the first prize and Mrs L. T. Masters the hidden number. Owing to insufficient time to organise a farewell afternoon for Mrs C. Dalbeth a presentation from members of the Paeroa Croquet Club was made by the president, Mrs G. P. Lamb, at Mrs Dalbeth’s residence. The gift took the form of a Pavlova slice.
GIFT AFTERNOON. Mrs C. Dalbeth was hostess at the Saturday afternoon bridge club which met at her residence last week, the first prize being won by Mrs J. Staunton and the second by Mrs G. P. Lamb. On behalf of the members Mrs Lamb presented Mrs Dalbeth, who is leaving Paeroa, with a Pavlova plate as a parting gift from the club.
