REGENT THEATRE

TWO DOUBLE BILLS TO-NIGHT AND TO-MORROW DARING COMEDY — DRAMA. To-night is the last night for screening at the Regent of James Melton in “Sing Me a Love Song” and “The Witness Chair,” starring Ann Harding and Walter Abel. Through the entire action of “Hollywood Boulevard,” a Paramount picture telling the story of the comeback of a one-time famous screen star, which comes to the Regent Theatre to-mor-row and Friday, famous cafes and Hollywood night spots frequented by the screen stars are featured. To make the picture authentic, Director Florey obtained luminaries of the present day and famous stars of the old silent screen to visit these playgrounds of picture notables and become part of the atmosphere. Among the worldknown spots shown are the Cinegrill, of the Roosevelt Hotel, the Brown Derby, the Trocadero, the Vendome, Hollywood Boulevard, promenade of the great and near great, homes of the stars, and back-stage scenes at the studios where the drama and big moments of the story take place. The combined talents of William Frawley, Roscoe Karns, Lynne Overman and Mary Brian will make the auditorium of the Regent Theatre rumble with laughter to-morrow and Friday, where Paramount’s “Three Married Men” will show. The picture concerns the trials and tribulations of a young couple—Karns and Miss Brian —who marry despite family objections. Frawley and Overman appear as brothers of the bride. George Barbier, best of the screen’s apoplectic oldsters, and Marjorie Gateson have important supporting roles. The film is taken from a story by Owen Davis, snr., with screen dialogue provided by Alan Campbell and Dorothy Parker.
