BREACHES IN OHINEMURI PAEROA COURT CASES. All the cases brought before Mr F. H. Levien, S.M., at the monthly sitting of the Magistrate’s' Court at Paeroa this morning, concerned breaches of the motor regulations. Unlicensed Truck. The Golden State Honey Co. Ltd. was charged with being the owner of a heavy motor vehicle which was driven on the Paeroa —Te Aroha road on November 14 while not licensed for heavy traffic. The information was laid by the County traffic inspector, Mr J. W. Johnstone. There was no appearance of defendant. The Inspector stated that the truck, which was usually idle, was being used to cart furniture. A fine of £2 10 s. and costs 10s was imposed. The Inspector also proceeded against J. H. Henderson, farmer, of Ngahinepouri, who drove an unlicensed heavy vehicle on the Paeroa —Waihi Road on September 30 and told the Court that.defendant had informed him that he had taken out a license in another county. On investigation it' was found that this was not correct. In the box defendant said that in most of the year it was not necessary to have a heavy traffic license. He had visited Paeroa and had bought three bulls, the weight of which he did not think would be sufficient to justify taking out a license. Evidence of the weight of the bulls was produced and the' case was withdrawn.
