RUGBY.
CLUB AT KARANGAHAKE. ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING. A decision to enter a senior team in the Paeroa Rugby Sub-union’s competition this season, was reached by an enthusiastic meeting held at Karangahake last Thursday evening, Mr J. Rackham presiding. The following officials were elected Patron, Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P.; president, Mr W. Bramble; vice-presid-ents, Messrs J. Bunting, W. Ellerington, A. Fathers, J. P. Gamble, J. Johnston, D. Leach, K. Meagher, J. B. Morris, J. McConachie and C. C. O’Brien; management committee, Messrs J. R. Calderwood, C. Carpenter, A. Finlay-Atkinson, J. O’Brien and J. Rackham; .sole selector and coach, Mr W. Bramble; club captain, Mr J. O’Brien; secretary and treasurer, Mr L. Bramble; auditor, Mr C. C. O’Brien. A strong social committee was appointed and one of its first duties will be to make arrangements for a dance in the near future. I The club’s subscription was fixed at 2s 6d a member.
