MODEL AEROPLANES.

FIELD DAY AT TE AROHA. PAEROA CLUB’S SUCCESSES. The Paeroa and the Te Aroha Model Aeroplane Club had a field day at Te Aroha on Saturday last. Both clubs were well represented and the honours fell fairly evenly but all the events were very closely ebntested. Perfect flying, conditions prevailed for there was bright sunshine and no wind. No exceptionally long flights were registered due to the absence of up-eurrents and so close was the contest in some events that several flights had to be made to decide the winners. Details of the winners are as follows :— 1 Open, any model, hand launched. — B. Woods, Te Aroha, 64 secs 1; R. Strong, Paeroa, 59 secs 2; A. Gee, Paeroa, 53 2-5 secs 3. Rise off ground: R.
