AN AFTERTHOUGHT.
The other day (says an imaginative scribe) I was at n garage when the telephone rang. “Our car has capsized," said a sweet feminine voice. "Please send out n mechanic." "Is there much damage done to it?" asked the garage man. “Yes, the back axle is broken, the front one is bent, and the body is all smashed up," the lady replied. "Anything else?" "Yes; there is no petrol in the tank, so you had better bring a gallon with you." she replied. Ten minutes later the telephone rang again. It was the same lady speaking. . "I forgot to tell you," she said, "You’d better tell the doctor to come out, too. My husband is under the wrecked car somewhere."
