SOCIAL NEWS.
The Hauraki Ladies’ Bridge Club met on Saturday evening at the residence of Mrs P. ’R. Henry. The first prize was won by Mrs J. A. Reid and the hidden number by Mrs E. W. Porritt. , The dance held by the Golf Club in the Soldiers’ Club on Wednesday evening was a huge success. Several cars came through from the Thames and a very jolly evening was spent. Excellent music was supplied by the Plus Fives Orchestra, and Mr E. H. Bartley acted as M.C. A tasty suppersupplied by the ladies was greatly enjoyed.
