HIKUTAIA STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Auctioneering Company, Limited, report:— “At Hikutaia sale on Wednesday we penned a good yarding of pigs and dairy cattle, and a medium yarding of beef. There was good competition on well forward dairy heifers, late rates being, maintained on all classes. “Porkers, light, £1 13s 6d to £1 19s 6d; store pigs, £1 7s to £1 Ils 6d; slips, 19s to £1 ss; weaners, 10s to 16s. “Dairies: Jersey heifers, well forward, £7 to £9 12s6d; more backward, £3 10s to £6 7s 6d; Shorthorn heifers, £7 2s 6d to £7 15s; dairy cows, springing, £5 to £6 15s; more backward sorts, £4 15s to £4 10s. “Sheep: Fat wethers, to £1 3s; store wethers, to 13s; fat cows, medium, £4 19s to £5 6s; light fat cows, £2 15s to £4 7s 6d; fresh store cows, £1 4s to £1 18s: boners, 10s to £1 Is.
