DANCE AT NGATEA.

FAREWELL TO RESIDENTS. The weekly dance in the Ngatea Hall last evening attracted a big attendance of local people, and a pleasant evening was spent. The music was by Mrs W. Williams and Mr J. King, and extras were played by Mrs P. R. Wilkins, who also acted as M.C. The progressive euchre tournament was won by Mrs Olsen and Mr H. Dalgety; Mrs A. Baxter and Mr M.‘ Williams being runners up. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss E. McDuff and partner, and another by Mrs J. Godkin and Mr M. Williams.. During the evening the opportunity was taken to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs W. P. Wylde, who are leaving the district shortly to reside in Paeroa. Mr W. Dent voiced the feelings of the people of Ngatea, and on their behalf presented Mrs Wylde with a leather suit case, and Mr Wylde with a case of pipes. Mr Wylde responded.
