-w THE PAEROA RUGBY UNION. WEEKLY MEETING’. . Mr J. M. Crosby presided over the weekly' meeting of the Management Committee of the Paeroa Rugby Union, held on'Tuesday. It was decided that the West Junior team should travel to Hikutaia to play Suburbs Juniors bn the next club fix 7 ture. Arrangements were finalised for a home and home match with Pukekohe, the dates being 9th August at Pukekohe, and 23rd at Paeroa. . Players taking, part will be required to assist with the travelling expenses.

THE PRIMARY SCHOOLS. PAEROA DEFEAT UNITED. Paeroa “A” and the United teams played a match yesterday afternoon in the Domain, when Paeroa scored 21 points, while United scored 3. Peni scored a try for United, and Chamberlain (3), Cheale, Marshall, Hampton, Laverick and Parata scored for Paeroa. Mr Keighley was the referee. Roller Mills Shield. The Auckland provincial primary schools’ Rugby tournament for the Northern Roller Mills Shield will be staged at Pukekohe this year. Up to the present four, entries have been received, three froin Auckland and one from the Thames Valley. It is expected that at least eight teams will complete. Billeting arrangemnts are in hand. , 1 Match at Hikutaia. The Hikutaia Primary Rugby team defeated the United team at Hikutaia on Saturday last by 43 points to nif. Mr. Kenworthy controlled the game. School Tournament. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Thames Valley Primary Rugby - Union will be held at Paeroa to-morrow morning, when arrangejnents will be made to stage an allday tournament in connection with 1 the Fleming Shield Competition this year. Te Aroha, Hauraki Plains, Waihi and Paeroa sub-unions take part in this competition.

TEAMS FOR SATURDAY. MATCHES IN PAEROA. The final round of the inter-club competition, conducted by the Paeroa Union, will be commenced in Paeroa to-morrow afternoon, when East and West seniors will meet, as also will the East and Suburbs’ teams. In the morning, at 10.30 o’clock, the Paeroa District High School’s team will play a fifteen from the Tauranga District High School. Senior Teams. The teams for the senior match will ’be selected from the following players : — West.—E. Verran, Swann, Wells, Vercoe, Poland, Duffy, Knight, Henderson, Brown, Carrick, Pearce, Handley, Vouse, F. Kilgour, Lloyd and Saunders. The Junior. Match. Suburbs expects to field a strong team in the junior match against East,
