PERSONAL
The well-known skipper of the Aucklfind-Priieroa steamer T’aniwha,, Captain J. Freeman, is at present ill at. his. home in Auckland. Captain F. Wells is at present in command of the Taniwha.
The resignation of the medical superintendent, Dr .Ritchie, was accepted with regret by the Thames Hospital Board. v Dr. Ritchie is going into private practice at Cambridge. Dr. A. S. Gray, of Thames, was temporarily appointed to .the position pending a permanent appointment at the meeting of the board on July 5.
