The fire brigade attended promptly, but the fire had a good hold upon flouring and other woodwork, and it took, a,n hour to get control. The building is of concrete. Outside accommodation will be secured to enable the school, to carry on during rebuilding. Tlie fire was first observed by one of the boys in the boarding establishment nearby. The building was insured for £ll,OOO in the South British, and the damage will probably prove to be between £5OOO and £6OOO.
