Ngaruawahia started a passing rush the ball going as far as Robinson who held on too long. W. Abbott found the line near the corner, but Jackways cleared with a nice dribbling rush. Ngaruawahia were back, and E. Abbott short punted, and following up fast compelled Garry to force. Tittleton shot through from a melee at the 25 yard flag and after making a nice op.ening sent on to McBurney who raced over to score. E. Abbott goaled. Taupiri had a brief respite in the local 25 where Wal. Tittleton who was playing a fine game was conspicuous. Taupiri were awarded a free from which they continued to press. From a scrum near the line Ngaruawahia cleared. Garry beat several men but lack of support spoilt an opportunity. Ngaruawahia were having a spell of attack until Garry shot through and made an opening before sending to Smith who carried play to the Ngaruawahia 25. Taupiri started a passing rush that ended in Tremain scoring after a tricky run. G. Tittleton failed. After a spell of play in Ngaruawahia’s 25 Kelly made a dodgy run and passed to Laird who scored at the corner. W. Abbott failed. The game ended w r ith the scores Ngaruawahia 21, Taupiri 8. Mr A.
