HUNTLY GOLF CLUB
annual meeting. The annual general meeting of the Huntly Golf Club was held in the Rest Room, Town Hall, on Thursday, April 9th. There was a good attendance of last year’s members, also new members. The club is in a good financial position and is hoping to increase membership this coming season. The new links will be in good order this year and the new committee is now getting the greens, etc. ready for their opening day, which will be held on May 9th, 1931. Prizes had been won during the past season by the follow - ir.g:—President’s Cup, Mr. Seccombe; Mr. Daldy’s trophy, Mrs. Hart and Mr. R. Watson; Mr. Henderson’s trophy, Mrs. Daldy: Armer Cup. Mr. Kirkby. At the conclusion cf the business for the past season, a vote of thanks was passed to the retiring president and secretary and the following committee for the ensuing season was duly elected: President, Mr. F. Littleproud; vice-president, Mr. E. V. Daldy; treasurer, Mr. E. V. Daldy; secretary, Mr. R. Henderson; club captain. Mr. Seccombe; match committee, Mrs. Hart, Mr. Seccombe, Dr. Macdial mid; green superintendent, Mr. Seccombe; auditor, Mr. K. S. Caldwell; committee, Mesdames Maediarmid. Hart, Daldy, Barclay, Chapman, Watson and Messrs. Smith and Watson. The following new members were enrolled:—Mrs. Partis, Mrs. Crawford, Mrs Bullough, Mr Bullough, Mr Malcolm. Club’s Opening Days. Pukekohe, April 18th. Te Kauwhata, April 18th. Members of the Huntly Club are invited to both ol‘ these clubs for mixed foursomes on the above date.
