District News.
WAIKOKOWAI. Own Correspondent. Mr Heath, a representative of the New Zealand Dairy Association paid a visit to the district last week. The supply of cream from the surrounding districts will not be so great this season as last, owing to so many of the farm hands having left for the Front. What will no doubt prove to he the most successful social yet held in the district will take place in the Waikokowai School on Friday evening, (July 21st.) It has been promoted for the purpose of bidding farewell to Messrs. J Nuttall and F. Berch, who are at present on final leave, and will depart for Trentham on Saturday. As the preparations are complete in every detail, a most enjoyable time is anticipated.
