Huntly Town Board.
SPECIAL MEETING. APPOINTMENT OF ENGINEER. There was a full attendance of members at the Special Meeting of the Huntly Town Board called last evening for the purpose of appointing an electrical engineer for the Huntly Power House. Altogether, twenty-seven applications, from men residing in places almost from the North Cape to the Bluff were received. There was quite a little work in sorting out the various candidates and tabulating their recommendations. Eventually, however the whole thing was reduced to workable order rud the choice of the Board fell on Mr George Petheran), who is at present employed as a fitter at the Taupiri Coal Mines, Ltd.
