ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. report: A better yarding of fat cattle was forward at the sale held on Monday, 16th. September, both in quality and numbers and with a good attendance of buyers, prices were fully, maintained. The heavier bullocks perhaps did not sell quite as rapidly as the lighter sorts, but a good clearance at prices ranging from 48/- to 50/- per 100 was J recorded. An exceptionally good truck lot of nine heifers sent in by Mrs Diedrichs, realised £ls/10/-. Our entry comprised 49 head and sold as follows: — On account of Mrs W. F. Diedriclis, 3 bullocks at £l7/17/6, 6 at £l7/12/6, 6 at £l7/2/6, 9 heifers at £ls/10/-, % at £l4/17/6, 2’ at £l3/12/6, 2 at £l4/2/6. On account of Mr H. N. Adamson, 2 bullocks at £l6/7/6; 2 at £l7/17/6, 3 at £l7/12/6, 2 at"£l7/2/6, 3 at £l6/17/6, 1 cow at £l3/17/6; 1 at £l3/2/6. 2 heifers at £l2/2/6,; 1 at. £ll/17/6, 1 small cow at £B/7/6, On account of Miss Camming, 1 stag at £ls. Messrs M. Houston and Co. report: At yesterday’s fortnightly sale our. entry consisted of 18 head of fat cattle, which were submitted to the usual attendance of buyers. There was good competition at prices on a par with those of the previous sale. Good ox and heifer beef sold on an average of 48/per hundred.' We sold as follows: \ For Mrs O.
