The Governor-General (Lord Galway) sent the following message t( the King in connection with the bombing of Buckingham Palace:—The Government and people of New Zealand join me in tendering your Alajesty and the Queen, our most sincere eongrat illations in having escaped injury m yesterday’s air attack on Buckingham Palace. All in this Dominion continue to pray during these critical days for your Alajesty’s safety and well being. The indomitable spirit of tile people of London during recent raids 'has been the admiration of all yesterday’s attempt 'on your Alajesty’s life will but serve to strengthen the nation’s loyalty to your Afajscty and the Throne and knit still more plosefy those ties which bind the Mother Country and the Dominions overseas. Air D. J. Evans, County Clerk, returned from Wellington on Saturday evening. The condition of AH E.- T.
