AUCKLAND BEATS WAIKATO. (Per; Press Association—Copyright). 7 ; .AUCKLAND, July'l4. The; first representative Rugby match of the season in Auckland was played on Saturday afternoon, at Eden Park. When | Auckland beat, Waikato by II points' to 3. Auckland shored three tries, with one converted, and Waikato one unconverted try. The weather was fine and the ground in excellent order. There was a large attendance. Taken all round, play was not very spectacular, and as confined chiefly to the forwards, who had a keen tussle. Barry, Smith, ami Mills scored for Auckland, Hare converting one. Perkins scored for Waikato.
