STATEMENT BY Mil HULL (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). WASHINGTON, May 20. Mr, Hull in a statement to the Press said the Government had not yet given serious attention to the taking over of Allied possessions in the Western hemisphere, either for payment of war debts or for national defence or with the consent of the Allies. Mr Early declined to comment on the published reports that Signor Mussolini had suggested that the United States co-operate with Italy to obtain an adjustment of colonial claims. jVI >' Early disclaimed knowledge but did not deny the reports. Mr Wallace anounccd that the 1940 wheat loan programme was averaging about sixty four cents per bushel to the producers.
