A BROADCAST SPEECH. (Per Press Association—Copyright). WELLINGTON, May 19. In the course of a national broadcast this evening, the Prime Minister (Hon. P. Fraser) announced important measures designed for the security of New Zealand, including training for the National-Reserve and foi the Territorial Forces. ■ “The scheme is designed to make New Zealand more secure,” said the Prime Minister. “It will mean that men can be released for overseas duty without any danger to this country, but 1 am bound to point out that at present there is no immediate danger to the Dominion. However, we must be prepared for all eventualities.” The Prime Minister said that in New Zealand men had been coming forward in sufficient numbers, and training schemes were (veil under way. There had been a large number of naval volunteers, and New Zealand airmen had displayed the Ugliest qualities of courage and daring. Volunteers, for the Air Force were coming in faster than they could be admitted.
