There are numerous French prisoners. A large quantity of booty has been captured. The German High Command at Berlin announced that the German war flag is flying over Antwerp Town Hall. Wilhelmstrasse officials declared that the Germans are within seventy-six miles of Paris. They asserted that it was France’s turn to experience what it means for a country to hitch its wagon to England’s star. The Germans claim that the remaining forts of Liege have surrendered. A Wilhelmstrasse spokesman declared that the Allies were retreating everywhere from Sedan to Antwerp. He added that the Belgian and British forces on the Dvle River line had been catastrophically smashed and that Belgium was practically finished.
