OBITUARY

ROBERT B. TENNENT. It is with extreme regret that we record the death of Mr Robert Baird Tennent, son of Mr and Mrs J. Tennent of Greymouth, which took place last evening at Christchurch. The deceased, who had been - a resident of Hokitika .for over two years as manager of the well-known jewellery business in Revel] Street, was; a well-known and very popular figure who will be sadly missed by a wide circle or friends. Over a year ago he was taken ill, and some nine months ago entered Cashmere. Sanatorium for treatment. De-i ceased was a native of Greymouth and 34 years of age. He was keenly interested in church and musical circles, and was organist of St. John’s Church, Greymouth, for a number of years. He was also a Past Master and organist of Pacific Lodge, Hokitika and was a member of the Hokitika Kilwinning Royal Arch Chapter, and a member and organist of the Greymouth Masonic i T ocVe. as well as being a Past Arch of the Star of the AVest Lodge, U.A.O. 0.. Deceased leaves a widow (nee Muriel Jean Campbell, RuatapnL father and mother, one brother AVilliam, and four sisters, Mrs L. F. Anderson, Misses Marion, Belle, and Molly Tennent. all of .Greymouth. To the bereaved will he extended the deeoesf, svmnathv of the eommunitv, which will deplore the loss of a good citizen.

GEORGE COOPER, McNABR. Tlie death occurred last evening at Nelson of Mr George Cooper McNabb, after a short illness. Deceased resided for the greater part of his liie on the AVest Coast, only recently moving to | Motueka. He is survived by his wife, four son.®, two brothers and four sisters.
