BOOT TO COMPETE IN N.S.W.
WELLINGTON. December 18. Permission was granted V. P. Boot of Christchurch, by the Council of tin* 77ew Zealand Amateur Athletic Association last night, to compete in New South Wales in February, -it the. invitation of the New South Wales Amateur Athletic Association, subject to bis obtaining leave, and to the consent of the Canterbury centre. Root broke the Empire Games mifmiJo record in Sydney last February.
